Valkyrja Publishing Studios / The studio journey
THE VPS ROADMAP
Where we began. What we’re building. Where we’re going.
A route through story, technology, and independent creation.
01 / Origins
Where it began.
Valkyrja Publishing Studios grew from publishing, mythology, storytelling, and the desire to make imagined worlds tangible. Lore, characters, games, and digital creation offered different ways to explore the same question: what could an idea become?
Independent creative work remains at the heart of the studio — a place to research, write, experiment, and build beyond the boundaries of a single medium.
02 / Expansion
The studio takes shape.
As the work expanded, so did the tools it needed. Software, practical utilities, and business systems became part of the studio’s creative vocabulary alongside visual media and publishing.
Local AI, generative production, automation, and experimental technology opened new ways to connect research with making. VPS took shape as an umbrella for worlds to explore and systems to use.
03 / Today
What we’re building now.
The studio is an interconnected ecosystem. Individual projects have their own purpose, while their methods, research, and discoveries can inform the wider work.
04 / The Horizon
Where we’re going.
The horizon holds larger worlds and interactive experiences, including Forge Aeternum; expanded publishing; new utilities and software; and intelligent systems that help the studio create, coordinate, and discover.
Future creative technology will grow from the same foundation: ambitious ideas, practical experimentation, and work that earns its place in the wider VPS ecosystem.
A direction of travel, rather than a schedule. Individual projects will be introduced as they take shape.
05 / The Principle
Why it all belongs together.
Stories become worlds. Worlds become games. Research becomes tools. Problems become software. Technology becomes a new creative medium.
Stories, technology, research, software, tools, and worldbuilding are different expressions of the same creative process. Each begins with curiosity and becomes something others can read, explore, use, or build upon.
Valkyrja Publishing Studios exists at that crossroads — where disciplines inform each other and ideas have room to become more.
